7th October 2014: Irish gas and electricity supplier Vayu has completed the rollout of its MyVayu energy management portal as part of a multi-million euro technology investment to cater for its growing Irish customer base and expansion into the UK energy market. The online platform provides businesses with a suite of analytical tools to manage their energy consumption more efficiently and to optimise their electricity and gas procurement decisions.
In business since 2003 when market deregulation was introduced, Vayu is a leading independently owned energy supplier. Since its beginnings as a gas supplier to business customers, the company has steadily grown and now supplies 22% of Ireland’s largest natural gas business users. In 2007, Vayu launched its electricity supply business and has seen its market share double each year since then.
Backed up by market intelligence from Vayu’s team of energy analysts, the MyVayu platform acts as a single resource to enable business managers take more active control of their energy costs. The web-based system provides finance and procurement managers with interactive tools to model changes in energy demand over different timeframes; review detailed reports on energy performance; and assess potential savings in real-time using scenario-based analysis.
